Aisha jamila Hinds was born in the United States and is most well-known for her performance on The Shield. Her versatility has been demonstrated since 2003 by delivering amazing performances on television shows like 9-1-1 Detroit as well as 1-8-7 and Under the Dome. Anna's performance on Assault on Precinct 13 was her first big breakthrough. The first time she was recognized was for her performance in the 2005 biographical film All the Way. Hind is also being recognized for her role played as Harriet Tubman within WGN America's historical drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. Her father Krishnaraj died in the month of March after a long career as a scientist with the Indian Army. Vrinda, her mother, is a homemaker. Aditya, who is an engineer in the merchant navy and her brother works for her. Bachchan's brother produced and co-wrote Dil Ka Rishta, along with his mother. The actress attended Arya Vidya Mandir High School located in Mumbai in India, where her family relocated. She completed her intermediate education in Jai Hind College for a year before enrolling at D.G. Ruparel College Matunga, where she scored a 90% mark in her H.S.C. exams. She took classes in music and classical dancing for five of her years as an adolescent. Zoology was her favorite subject. Bachchan studied architecture when she took home the title Miss World 1994. This title launched her to the forefront of modeling. She received lucrative positions in PepsiCo Inc. and Vogue magazine in addition to a spokesmodel contract with L'Oreal Paris in 2003. The two first films of her professional career included Aur Pyaar ho Gaya and Iruvar. Bachchan was thrust to the forefront in New Bollywood after both films challenged the conventional structure of Bollywood films at the time. Bachchan became the Queen of Bollywood by playing Paro the betrayed lover In Devdas, (2002). Devdas was among Bollywood's biggest successes. It was also the first film to screen at the Cannes Film Festival. She received great praise for her role of Chokher Bali (2003) the dramatic, ad-hoc drama that was based on the Rabindranath Tag novel. The actress became the first Indian actress who served on the jury of Cannes Film Festival that same year. Bachchan made an appearance as a character in Gurinder Chadha's Bride and Prejudice a musical and dance version of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Bachchan brought both her star-power and beauty to her first major English film. In the months before releasing Provoked: A True Story 2006 in English the actress returned to Bollywood for a role in Dhoom: 2 (2006 smash success). In April 2007, she was married to Abhishek Bachchan a frequent co-star and the son of Bollywood great Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage that brought together two of India's greatest people.
